Love is…

Eros: passionate physical and emotional love based on attraction/ enjoyment

Mania: highly volatile love verging obsession, usually fueled by low-esteem

Ludus: love that is played as a game or sport; “conquest” approach to love

Storage: an affectionate love that slowly develops from friendship and is based on similarity, shared interests, and feeling understood

Pragma: a love style charactersized by rationality and good decision making; pragmatic love is practical and thus directed by the head not the heart

Agape: selfless, altruisitc love such as the love a mother feels for a child; this style is spriritual and care-taking in nature
